Jeremy "Passion" Manongdo in Hawaii!
It's been a while since I last posted. Summer is almost coming to a close and I haven't had the time to blog. Been beaching and partying it up! Woo. Anyways, I will do a blog later on one of my biggest musical inspirations Jeremy "Passion" Manongdo. He is one of the reasons why I keep on keeping on with this my "passion" of music. If you don't know who he is you should check out some of his videos here. So he came down to Hawaii for the weekend to do a show at Pipeline cafe. The show was a benefit to help out a shelter for homeless people. There were a lot of great performances by local students to some well known artists in Hawaii. Yep, just an update on what I've been up to. How have you been?

Happy one Year anniversary!
School is starting tomorrow and I've been busy preparing for it, hence I haven't blogged in a while. Anyways, on the 19th my girlfriend and I made a year (Technically it's been more than a year) and we went to Shokudo's to celebrate it. If you're ever down here in Hawaii I recommend getting their specialty honey toast, very awesome.
I thought we took more pictures but I guess not. That means dinner was that great. Haha! Nah we took pictures of our food but um, I can't find them atm. I'll post them later.
Now, I know you guys must be wondering, "isn't this a music blog?" And you stand corrected, this is in fact a music blog. So what does my one year anniversary have anything to do with music you might ask? Well...as a gift, my girlfriend made a Youtube channel (haha yeah I know, Youtube again...) but not just any Youtube channel. It's a channel dedicated to us, in which she got a bunch of our friends to do covers of songs that have impacted our lives together. Only a few did, and to those that did, I really appreciate all the time you spent to make it. If you want to check out the channel although there are only a few videos on, (more will be posted in the future) check it out by clicking here. Now then, on to the videos.
"Loco Rhythm" singing Falling by Keahiwai
My good friend Cheiryl Pactanac singing Magic by Colbie Caillat
Random funny video by Vince and Janelle along with a cover of a lot of songs.
So my girlfriend and I were suppose to do a video together, maybe Lucky by Jason Mraz or idk? Some video of us singing, but she has yet to decide a song and also trick me into getting me to sing. And I must warn you, I am not a great singer nor am I a great guitar player. But idk? I should make a challenge, since this blog is fairly new, I don't have a lot of followers, so... if I ever get up to 10 followers I will post a video of myself singing a song, guitar playing and everything. So until that happens, your ears can be saved from my horrible voice. Well that about wraps it up. Until next time.

Mario theme song played with an RC car and bottles?
This is just a full on win. I've seen a lot of creative videos for playing the Mario theme song and also videos of people playing it blindfolded. But an RC car?! I have to admit, this is just pretty damn cool for you to not watch it. Check it out.

Melissa Polinar
I know, so I've been on Youtube a lot. Nothing wrong with that eh? I say Youtube is a great way for musicians, such as myself, to display their talent to the world. (Although I've never posted a video of myself playing, except this one time on Facebook, but that's a different story.)
Anyways, this girl is amazing. She is quite a package. I mean, she's a great songwriter/composer, she's excellent at guitar, has a very soothing voice, and of course, you can't forget that she's beautiful. I came across her channel when I was going through my subscriptions and there was a video of her doing a duet with Jeremy Manongdo a.k.a "Passion". I'm really glad that I stumbled across her because her music inspires me to continue my love and passion for music.
If you guys want to check out her music and I really encourage you to do so, you can visit her Youtube channel here or her visit her website here. And don't forget to check out her video below. This is my personal favorite. Oh and skip to about a minute reason being she's talking about an event that happened a while ago. Enjoy!
"Meant to Be" by Melissa Polinar
Here are the lyrics:
slowly stars go out each night
dark meets light, kiss the sun goodnight
new day comes as though life's just begun
you're now mine
and everytime you hold my hand
there's an understanding of who i am
new life is born, unlike before i'm now yours
you can feel it in the summer breeze
tonight, the world's at ease
chorus:
you are the one for me
after all the waiting i can finally breathe
earth and sky say what they may
i will love you all throughout my days
happiness happens when our hearts combine
when its you i'm with i come alive
its just so clear to see
darling, we are meant to be
your love is like amazing grace
sound so sweet i can almost taste
i've been given more
than what i could ever ask for
i am yours
i can feel it in the summer breeze
tonight, the world's at ease
(chorus)
(bridge)
i feel at home whenever you're around
i feel so secure, so safe and sound
what else can i say?
what else can i say?
(chorus)

Legaci
Legaci is an R&B acapella group that you have to check out. They have some major talent! I first heard of them from my good friend Paul back in 2007. He told me to sit down and watch a video of them doing a cover of Silent Night. I was seriously just sitting there, amazed at the tight harmonies and the smooth blend of their voices. It reminded me of Boys II Men. It's been a while since I saw any of their videos, but they just posted a video and it brought back some old memories. It makes me want to call up the guys and have a jam session! Well, just wanted to share some musical inspirations of mine. If you want to hear more of their music you can go to their website here or check out their Youtube channel here. (And yes, I go on Youtube a lot. Haha :P)
Check out the video of them doing a cover of Say it by Voices of Theory.
